French Toast

French Toast

1 cup skim milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 slices whole wheat bread cut thick
fresh fruit (optional)
maple syrup

Mix first three ingredients together.  Dip bread slice in mixture- let soak for a minute.  Cook on hot griddle and brown on both sides.

Serve with fresh fruit (sliced peaches, strawberries, or blueberries) and maple syrup.
